What is the Sapphire 3 PhotoAbrasion treatment?

Sapphire 3 is considered the “next generation” in microdermabrasion, without the potential risks from traditional crystal and vacuum suction. A vibrating sapphire tip exfoliates the skin while red LED (light emitting diode) stimulates fibroblast production in the skin, thereby promoting collagen growth. There is dry and wet (vitamin) exfoliation performed in this first step. Followed by mechanical lymphatic drainage and followed by both red and blue monochromatic light therapy for further toning as well as being antibacterial and oxygenating. This is truly the ultimate combination in superb skincare maintenance.

What benefits will having this treatment provide my skin?

You will feel and see results after your first treatment. A series of four to six treatments is recommended every two weeks to get the most benefit from cumulative therapy. Skin rejuvenation processes reveal a younger, fresher, healthier complexion with improvements in texture, tone, and appearance. Maintenance therapy is one treatment per month and altering treatments with other therapies, like a mild chemical peel, for example, continues the rejuvenation process.

How long does each treatment take?

If doing microdermabrasion alone, it will take approximately 20 –25 minutes. If doing the complete sapphire treatment, allow 40-45 minutes.

Will my skin be red after the treatment?

No. Your skin will be glowing and feel toned, smooth and squeaky clean. If your skin is extremely sensitive, you may be slightly pink, but this will go away very quickly.

Can I do additional procedures on the same day?

It is usually not a problem to combine other treatments with Sapphire 3, but please check with our staff ahead of time.
